Insurance, Boards and Federations

Psychosomatic Therapy is recognised by the following Insurance Companies, Boards and Federations.


Once you have received your Registered Certificate III in Psychosomatic Therapy from The Psychosomatic Therapy College (PTC) and become a member of The International Association of Psychosomatic Therapy (INTAPT).  You are eligible to apply for insurance from the following insurance companies.

AON Allied Health Insurance (Australia) – They have a policy that covers a broad range of allied health practitioners from over 300 modalities including Psychosomatic Therapy.

GSA Brokers (Australia)- GSA Insurance Brokers offer an exclusive online insurance facility for Natural Therapists. In addition to Psychosomatic Therapy, they also insure Ayurveda, Kinesiologists and Chinese Medicine.

Arthur J. Gallagher – OAMPS  (Australia)- Arthur J Gallagher are insurance specialists that look after the Natural Therapies Insurance.  They will tailor a quote to suit you i.e. part time or casual therapist.

Holman Insurance Brokers LTD (Canada)- Holman Insurance Brokers Specialise in Professional Liability and Errors and Omissions Insurance for Therapy Practitioners, Complimentary Health professionals, Health Care professionals, Preventative Health Professionals, Holistic Practitioners and Fitness Professionals.

What they will require:

  • To qualify you must be a current member of INTAPT at minimum Certificate III level.
  • You can apply for insurance as a Practitioner or Practising Teacher.
  • You will be asked for your INTAPT member number when you apply.
  • Some insurance companies also require you to be a member of the National Federation of Healers (Details Below).


National Federation of Healers – 

The National Federation of Healers is a non-denominational, non-profit organisation in Australia. Our members, who are practitioners of a diverse range of modalities, are provided with a wide range of opportunities for their growth and development.


The Canadian Examining Board – Canada

The Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners Inc. is a private not-for-profit, federally chartered organisation which promotes health care programs of Complementary Medicines. This progressive body has set standards of professional qualifications for health care practitioners in this field, and provides a forum for the development, exchange, and dissemination of knowledge and skills appropriate to the requirements of professional complementary health care practice.
